Going Solo

I see,
sea around
Calm to clouds
Water they share
Rains spoke not a word.
Trees fresh green watch
Droplets through spread feathers, black
White dome, a standstill globe
I take control from atop
Rains spoke not word.
Illusions of power and strength
I sense from where I sit tall and proud
That's the universe of acceptance
A little ruffle is simply harmless
I see!

A crow that I am
Free I feel as I fly and perch...
Only a few worried glances at times;
At times, my curiosity gets misrepresented
Irrational as it may sound,
Wonder aloud "why me"often;
Why judge me by tales of good and evil?
Only a few loving eyes glance,
No, they look at me, and I speak,
"Like you, I search my reality."

Did I say?

image

Hold on till the wings could keep
And the claws could hold;
That moment erases space
Between you and me,
Ignoring the high up in the sky
And deep down the roots;
Name the many emotions
Or may be the mundane;
Perceptions differ and defer….
Did I say,
“How beautiful it looks up from here
Where  blames and claims exist not?”
Did I say,
“What it takes to be alive
Where I enjoy my every breath?”
Did I say,
“Where?”
Into the unknown.

Visitor

A sparrow flew into my room

Chose to sit on top of the piled up books

Nothing seemed to bother it

My presence or the clatter of the keyboard;

A very rare sight indeed

Especially with its depleting population

Competing to win the survival race

The cute birdie was a struggler in the city;

With a good intention to welcome my guest

I crumbled the biscuit in my hand

But guess the undue attention paid was not well received

And it flew away, a stranger.
