Hope

I painted a house in red

On my yellow feature wall.

“No, I am safe,”

I call out to my family.

“Worry not, I am fine,”

I speak again to the concerned voices.

“Red, is unconditional love

Symbolic of a binding Christmas;”

I look for togetherness

In a warm or cold home;

“Wish every day of love

In every life filled in happiness.”

The fairly lights in the neighbourhood bright,

I see angels everywhere.

I look again

Where the chorus echoed.

Into the darkness at midnight

Wishing New Year of hope.

Devotion

I sing to you

The song I have learned

The mantra that saw many generations

Words in Your praise

I sing in devotion.

I sing to you

Today the song that I feel deep within

Never heard before phrases but a mantra,

Words thanking you and meant only for You

I sing in devotion.

I sing to the Goddess of knowledge.

April – A Poetry, A Day

April has been considered as the National Poetry Writing Month in the United States of America and Canada.
I came across the NaPoWriMo 2014 news (Thanks to WordPress) recently, and decided to stimulate my creative writing skills.
Since I began my NaPoWriMo 2014 experiment on the wordpress Page, I continue to edit and add a poem to the Page daily.
