Red Rose

wither

You gave me a red rose

 Every time to proclaim love.

I blushed red and gushed,

Remembering the day

We stepped into an arranged marriage.

Honest as always,

You declared your gratitude

To the flower seller –

His only stock of red roses.

I chose the vermilion, instead.

Unfolds

image

Unfolds the rose bud
Each layer double coloured;
The next day fades
Petals pale and fragrance bailed.
The pollen a bright yellow
Tender to touch
Puzzles life to life.
“Pluck me not for I live
Another day
As the sun carasses me
And the wind kisses me.”
The older rose in reflection,
“I am beautiful
And an enduring beauty for days
I am love.”
Amazed at the passing thoughts,
I feel the flowers and reflect
In depth on the essentials
Live beautifully to love unconditionally.

Remembering

wither

Haven’t said a word,

Merely stared;

Care not what they meant.

Bubble burst into millions –

Invisible;

Yet, felt a million nerves.

The wind’s delicate stroke

Appeared a warning;

Passing thoughts arrested,

I wiped the sensation –

Tickle;

Yet, couldn’t stop my heart.

Haven’t heard the beat

Merely hoped;

A minute by minute passage –

Cease;

Yet, remained alive and I breathe;

Remembering a life.
