NaPoWriMo 2024 – Day 30 – Short Poetry – Monostich

I have written a ‘Monostich’, a contemporary poetic form of single-line verse, known for its expressive brevity. In this compact space, complex ideas and imagery converge, inviting contemplation and interpretation.

Central to my exploration are the symbols of the blackbird and dandelion, each carrying layers of meaning: mystery,  communication, transformation, and freedom.

The theme of self-expression guides me in my self-introspection: 30 days of writing 30 poems, a personal odyssey of creativity and self-discovery through verses.

Deepest gratitude for reading my poems.

Thank you

NaPoWriMo 2024 – Day 18 – Short Poem – Crow

Growing up, I watched my grandfather nurture a unique bond with the crows he fed daily. While their presence initially filled me with apprehension, I soon came to appreciate their elegance and confidence, influenced by my grandfather´s reverence for them as a symbol of ancestral spirits in the culture of India.

In a world through the eyes of a crow, I invite you to explore the complexities of existence, societal judgment, and the search for self-discovery and acceptance. Through the lens of these intelligent and enigmatic birds, I see our journey is intricately intertwined with theirs. We are no different!
