April Poetry Writing Month – Day 8
Vulnerability is not weakness.
Some wounds, whether from close relationships or brief encounters with strangers, are inflicted knowingly or unknowingly. Inspired by the quiet grace in Rabindranath Tagore´s works, this poem imagines a rose petal speaking to the hand that plucks it.
I am attempting to continue a poem on the theme of innocence, hope, possibilities and our relationship to the divine. Here, Krishna and his love for butter serves as symbolism. This poem is a continuation from yesterday, where the first and second lines are repeated.
