NaPoWriMo 2025 – Day 12

April Poetry Writing Month – Day 12

Writing poems inspired by a personal collection of photos – Old Stone Bridge

Time moves forward, the past remains alive – a meditative reflection.

Regensburg, a city in Bavaria, recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is celebrated as the best preserved medieval city in Germany.

Poetic Form: Tanka, a Japanese verse written in 5 lines with a 5-7-5-7-7 (31 syllable) pattern. This poem, which weaves historical imagery and romanticized art and punctuation, is a modern tanka.

NaPoWriMo 2025 – Day 2

April Poetry Writing Month – Day 2
Silence is never truly silent, and even the most innocent flowers can be both beautiful and toxic. There is a movement in everything — even within our mind.
Breathe.
Observe.
Think meditatively.

April 14 – A Wonderful Mind

A poetry exercise, creatively written from a select of words from each line of a randomly picked page (57) of the book (Silence by Thich Nhat Hanh).

A wonderful Mind
I am,
Walk naturally,
Enjoy completely;
Time to prepare yourself.
One in-breath
And you –
“Three seconds to stop thinking.”
Many of us allow
Day after day…
In the present.
Life and all its wonders,
To you –
The beginning
Of mindful thinking.
Step with each in-breath.
