Fable Project 1

A fable about identity, gratitude, and what happens when we refuse to let go of who we once were.

The donkey lost her royal life, but could not accept an ordinary one. In trying to reclaim a crown that no longer belonged to her, she failed to recognise the kindness, trust, and new life placed before her.

The farmer’s patience meant living through a long wait, and questioning his fate was only human.  Nevertheless, he chose to move forward.

Perhaps, growth asks something simple of us: honour what was, learn from what has changed, and know it is time to leave the old crown behind.

She said nothing

The sunflower has long been a symbol of devotion, resilience, and courage. Admired for its unwavering orientation towards the sun, it has come to represent optimism, purpose, and steadfastness. Yet the same light that nurtures can also overwhelm.

Nature rarely speaks in absolutes. Perhaps the lesson is not to turn away from what gives us life, but to recognise that growth asks us to embrace both nourishment and vulnerability.
