Greenlight

The pleasures of wonderful little things are often missed in ordinary pursuits of everyday living. Thoughts of innumerable words of money, gains, competitions, fame and enjoyment cloud an ordinary mind to a relentless chaser.

Chaos of colours splayed out;

Cloudless sky, a charmer.

Chaos of traffic paused at signal;

He had eyes only for green signal.

      Is there a someday? Only holiday can tell.

All Green

DSC05302 - Copy

Words described many –

Shades of green vary.

Avocado, a pale green

And when darker, a bottle green.

Grass is green, as in green;

Emerald is but, bright green.

Photograph of new leaves

Captured unintentionally,

Defined the work of green (person)

But, couldn’t define green.

I held on to it longer than desired;

Innocence of green but couldn’t be borrowed.

Green II

Wild Grass

Wild grass

Akin to Narcissus

Grow appreciating

Own beauty;

Ripples of green

On  the pond,

Itself green;

Wild wind envious.

Narcissus is a mythical character from Greek mythology who is said to have died by the bank of the river as he became entranced by the beautiful reflection of himself.
