Tears of joy or sorrow?

Last day of the month

Rained all day long;

As I looked at the lonely drop

That fell from the leaf and splattered,

A lingering tear trailed.

A new day tomorrow?

Wind swirls uninterrupted

The glossy puddle of oil slick

Gets ornate.

Wish it could flow past

Whirl with the wind

Sail on the restless leaves

Glisten the path to freedom.

In the boundless
