Falling to a pulp on the floor
Heard the voices many;
The bliss was intoxicating….
Displaced she felt as she rouse;
Confusion written
On the faces that peered.
But one familiar face
Lifted her hand
And to that smile, she relaxed.
Not yet, she heard
And sprung to rise –
The only rhythm
Her heartbeat.
Those few minutes?
The mystery enshrined….
Ten Years…
Two strangers get introduced
Formally;
Knowing you, knowing me.
Two families meet
In agreement;
Uniting him, uniting her.
Ten years….
We recall the journey
Of acceptance, adjustments
And selflessness in
Loving you, loving me.
Marooned in her own island,
Searched within for the answers;
Her pains did not pain;
Her fears no more scared;
Her insecurities turned secure;
She was no more who she used to be.
Her reflections began to fade
And she evolved day by day.
The eyes, nose and lips were the same
And she smiled knowingly.
Satisfied in her new found freedom
In knowing her and knowing life,
In love with herself;
A significant human being
Sure of sharing and caring;
The woman that I am
I love her for her self
And I smile knowingly….
The song I hear deep down
The one I wish to sing;
The tune played all along while
The lyrics framed pictures around.
And then I see myself singing
Blissfully and knowingly;
Through a truly happy inner voice
The song I hear deep down.
