NaPoWriMo 2025 – Day 4

April Poetry Writing Month – Day 4

We belong without borders.

What does it mean to have roots? Can we truly belong without being anchored to one place?  Reflecting on my experience of growing up — and learning to live — in many places, this is about the people, the memories, and the feeling of belonging we carry with us. In the end, there is only love and the constant life lessons it brought.

On Environment Day…

Poinsettia, @thoughtsnpoeticforms

On World Environment Day, I appreciate my Poinsettia stem, a month long in the tiny bottle restored to a new life.

“Her leaves green,
fresh and alive,
secretly conversed-
wishes of rooting…
She will be in her new home soon.”

**Poinsettia is an ornamental plant, often remembered as “red leaf plants seen during Christmas time”. This native of Mexico, needs proper care and short day length to be able to have its dark green leaves and colourful red bracts.
