Vulnerability is not weakness.
Some wounds, whether from close relationships or brief encounters with strangers, are inflicted knowingly or unknowingly. Inspired by the quiet grace in Rabindranath Tagore´s works, this poem imagines a rose petal speaking to the hand that plucks it.
April Poetry Writing Month – Day 6
Ink and rain
Emotional imprints are difficult to erase. Like Ink smudged by rain, memories resurface unexpectedly – never meant to last, never meant to be remembered.
A reflection on the echoes that remain in what is fleeting.
I have written a ‘Monostich’, a contemporary poetic form of single-line verse, known for its expressive brevity. In this compact space, complex ideas and imagery converge, inviting contemplation and interpretation.
Central to my exploration are the symbols of the blackbird and dandelion, each carrying layers of meaning: mystery, communication, transformation, and freedom.
The theme of self-expression guides me in my self-introspection: 30 days of writing 30 poems, a personal odyssey of creativity and self-discovery through verses.
