Steal A Few Moments…

beauty

I wish I could steal a few moments from life…

Never having seen a delicate life so close to hold;

Green, fresh as the rain washed leaf;

Silvery, enchanting as if an angel

On earth with a message.

“Touch me not,” she fluttered as long as her wings could take;

Choosing to sit on my feet, as long as she decided to have me.

A day had gone by in admiration.

The next day of hope was all about me;

Just another living being,

In search of the beautiful being.

I wish I could steal a few moments from life….

A Decade

Knowing

Ten Years…

Two strangers get introduced

Formally;

Knowing you, knowing me.

Two families meet

In agreement;

Uniting him, uniting her.

Ten years….

We recall the journey

Of acceptance, adjustments

And selflessness in

Loving you, loving me.

The Woman….

Self

Marooned in her own island,

Searched within for the answers;

Her pains did not pain;

Her fears no more scared;

Her insecurities turned secure;

She was no more who she used to be.

Her reflections began to fade

And she evolved day by day.

The eyes, nose and lips were the same

And she smiled knowingly.

Satisfied in her new found freedom

In knowing her and knowing life,

In love with herself;

A significant human being

Sure of sharing and caring;

The woman that I am

I love her for her self

And I smile knowingly….

Explain…

Explain Love

As I sit thinking

My husband puts his arms around,

My shoulders feel his warmth

A smile spreads instantly.

As our eyes meet

I say, I love you,

A sensory reaction

I fail to explain….

My personal diary is dusty and outdated.

Have shared with her everything;

A silent witness to my tantrums too.

She means not much to me now

Yet I cannot imagine parting;

As I look at her in the cabinet

I say, I love you,

A sensory reaction

I fail to explain….

A few days ago I got a mesh fitted

To keep the intruding pigeons away;

Yet they built a modest nest outside the kitchen

And the couple continued to live unaffected.

Annoyed though, I cannot stop feeding them

For the sheer joy of seeing them together.

As their eyes meet mine in fear

I say, I love you,

A sensory reaction

I fail to explain….
