April 8 – Anthurium

Diamante, is the attempted poetic form, which is a form of concrete poetry. The arrangement gives the poem a diamond shape. This 7-line poem has a specific structure :

In this Diamante, exploring a topic is what I have written.

Anthurium, commonly seen houseplant, has a heart-shaped, glossy petal-like structure that in reality is ‘spathe’ a modified leaf that protects flowers. The actual flower is tiny and is found in the spirals of the ‘spadix’, the protrusion from the base of spathe.

The exotic, tropical plants are often seen in shades of red, pink, white and yellow.
